As part of its ongoing commitment to judicial independence and public understanding of the justice system, the CSCJA will again offer members an opportunity to participate in a Law Day public education initiative in April 2026.
This initiative invites judges to speak directly with high school students about the role of the judiciary in a democratic society and the importance of an independent, impartial justice system. These sessions play a meaningful role in helping young people understand how courts function and why judicial independence matters in practice.
Sessions will take place between April 13 and 24, 2026, and may be delivered in person or virtually. Each session will be approximately 30 minutes, including a brief presentation and leaving most of the time for student questions.
No action is required at this time. A formal invitation with registration details will be circulated early in the new year.
This opportunity will be open to active and retired CSCJA members.
