The CSCJA is seeking expressions of interest from members who may wish to participate in current or future international judicial initiatives and collaborations.

These opportunities may include:

  • Educational and information-sharing initiatives with judiciaries in developing or emerging legal systems
  • Participation in study commissions and working groups with the International Association of Judges (IAJ)
  • Liaison and relationship-building with international judicial and legal organizations such as the Commonwealth Magistrates’ and Judges’ Association (CMJA), International Association of Women Judges (IAWJ), International Bar Association (IBA), and others
  • Notifications regarding international conferences, education programs, and judicial exchanges
  • Mentorship, speaking, writing, or advisory opportunities related to international judicial issues

The CSCJA and many of our members are already deeply engaged in international judicial work, particularly through the IAJ and CMJA. Recent developments and growing international interest in judicial collaboration are creating additional opportunities to draw on the experience, expertise, and leadership of both sitting and retired members.

Members interested in participating in future international initiatives — whether occasionally or more actively — are encouraged to join the roster of potential volunteers. Joining the roster does not create any commitment. It simply allows the Association to share relevant opportunities and reach out when a particular initiative may be a good fit.

Members interested in being included are invited to submit an expression of interest.
