Members will have received the July 9 letter from Chief Justice Wagner, enclosing the Canadian Judicial Council’s Research Report and Executive Summary on the health and well-being of judges — the first study of its kind for federally appointed judges in Canada. The report draws on a survey completed by 794 judges and was conducted by researchers at the Université de Sherbrooke.
We commend this initiative by the Canadian Judicial Council and thank the Council for undertaking this important work. Our Board of Directors will review the report and provide recommendations in the coming months.
