As the President of the CSCJA, I encourage you to take the time to complete the Questionnaire sent to you by the Canadian Judicial Council (CJC) by Monday, June 23. You will find that information copied below this message.
The CSCJA had input into the study. In fact, I was one of the people who was interviewed by Professor Cadieux with a view to helping to frame the parameters of the research project.
The physical, emotional and mental health, and well-being of judges is an issue that I hear about frequently from members. The CJC’s initiative is most welcomed by the CSCJA, as it may serve to complement the findings of our own survey that was undertaken some time ago.
One of the key strategic objectives of the CSCJA over the next three years is to bring greater attention to the issue of health and wellness, and to effect positive improvements in the lives of our judges. By completing the Questionnaire, you will help to achieve that objective.
Thank you very much for your cooperation.
Hon. Justice Clayton Conlan
2024-2025 President
